Bacon Wrapped Corn #Grill (7/7/2016) - On the 4th we had friend over for dinner and had Smoked Brisket. They brought the most delicious side dishes.   I promised to share what they shared with us. Well they did. YES, they were all fabulous!! So here is the first:
Cucumber Avocado Bagel Sandwich Bagel Sandwich (3/25/2016) - This is one of our favorite quick and easy meals for lunch. We first enjoyed this sandwich when we lived in Kansas. There was a bagel shop there that we thoroughly enjoyed. It always brings back fond memories. To see a video on how to make this delicious and healthy sandwich, click here.
Baked Corn (5/25/2016) - We love corn on the cob but it does get a little boring to simply boil it. This is a nice alternative to that. It is lightly seasoned, moist and you even have a handle to hold if you leave the husks on and pull them back when you eat it. It’s delicious!
Basil Cherry Tomatoes (7/10/2016) - This is the last of the sides our friends brought over for a dinner on the 4th. I love cherry tomatoes. Especially if they are as sweet and juicy as these were. Who would believe such a simple recipe could taste so good.
Bistec Encebollado Bistec Encebollado – Steak and Onions (6/20/2016) - This is a classic Puerto Rican Dish. If that is your kind of food, than you will definitely want to try this recipe
Black Beans with Rice (7/20/2016) - This is a truly delicious way to make use of the last bit of a bone in ham. The ham bone create a wonderfully flavored broth. The beans make it thick and hearty.
Bolognese with Pasta (5/29/2016) -   This delicious sauce is a true MEAT sauce with a rich wine based sauce. While it does have tomatoes it doesn’t use tomato sauce.
Bourbon Chickn on Brown Rice Bourbon Chicken (3/28/2016) - This is another faux favorite of so many. Why faux? Most think of Bourbon Chicken as a Cajun or Creole dish. It’s not. But who cares its delicious.

Bourbon Street Broccoli Bourbon Street Broccoli (3/25/2016) - This Southern Creole and Cajun dish turned out to be a success. We kind of wondered whether we would like it or not. The combination of tuna and broccoli sounded really weird. But it turned out to be good. Quite a nice surprise.

Chicken and Black Bean Avocado Salad Chicken Black Bean and Avocado Salad (3/25/2016) - This is a nice go to recipe when you are in the mood for a light yet satisfying meal.
Chicken Enchiladas Chicken Enchilada (3/25/2016) - This is a nice Mexican comfort food. We usually make this as a casserole. Sometimes we use flour tortillas and role the enchiladas, put them in a casserole pan, top them with cheese and sauce and finally bake them.

Chicken Pot Pie (4/28/2016) - I love chicken pot pie but the store bought ones are always a let down. This version is about as easy as it gets. No need to make dough or bechamel sauce.

Garlic Green Beans (5/26/2016) - I’m always looking for a way to prepare fresh vegetables. This is so much better than the traditional boiled to mush or canned versions. True they are blanched in boiling water but just blanched. If done right they retain just the right amount of snap for a nice and tasty mouth feel.
Garlic Mashed Potatoes (4/26/2016) - These are a rich and savory version of mashed potatoes. For a richer version use heavy cream. A warning is in order though be careful with the garlic. A little goes a very long way in this recipe.
Greek Salad Greek Salad (3/28/2016) - This is a delicious traditional Greek Salad, nice and tangy. Best when made with summertime garden fresh or farmers market vegetables. 
Green Chile Frittata Green Chile (Left Overs) Frittata (3/28/2016) - This is a great way to use up leftovers. This recipe is great for either a brunch or breakfast. Video demo of this recipe is available here on our youtube page.

Baked Ham with Cherry-Pineapple Glaze (7/11/2016) - We love ham…..who doesn’t This glazed ham is so delicious you want to eat the whole thing all at once. But don’t. You won’t be able to move. One of the great things about ham is really the left overs. They make lunches and dinners later in the week worth the wait.
Grilled Hamburgers (5/25/2016) - Who can resist a good barbecue grilled burger. We like ours simple. There is no need to add a whole lot of seasoning. Just use a good quality of meat grill and serve.

Lemon Pepper Chicken with Soleil Cream Sauce (5/30/2016) - Recently we took a trip to Stable Ridge Winery located on old route 66. We discovered a new wine, a lemon wine. They call it Soleil . As I sampled it I started thinking of how well this would work in a dish of some kind. This is what we came up with.
Cashew Pork with Lemon Rice and Seasonal Vegetables Lemon Rice with Seasonal Vegetables (3/25/2016) - This is nice side dish which is so simple to make and the flavors, amazing!! There are some amazing things you can do to rice to give a real zip and a twist to a simple dish.
Lemon Spaghetti with Chicken Lemon Spaghetti with Chicken (3/25/2016) - Tired of the usual tomato based spaghetti dishes. This is a delicious alternative to the same old same old pasta.
Mom’s Lasagna (5/4/2016) - If Jaque has a specialty this would be it. It’s perfect every time.

Grilled Summer Vegetables (6/14/2016) - Summer is definitely grilling season. This recipe is a great way to use whatever vegetable that is in season. It is so tasty and such an easy way to save electricity.
Stir Fried Vegetables with Sweet and Sour Chicken with Brown Rice Vegetable Stir Fry (3/25/2016) - This is a little more challenging dish to make. There is quite bit of vegetable prep involved. Lots cutting and chopping but a fairly quick cook wants the prep is done. With careful vegetable prep this makes a beautiful dish. We have also prepared a video of making this dish.
Vegetable Stock – Budget Friendly (7/12/2016) - It seems like every time we go grocery shopping we have to toss out a few leftover vegetables that have started to go limp after two weeks in the fridge. Vegetables with Spicy Honey Peanut Sauce (4/15/2016) - This is a delicious Thai inspired way to server vegetables. However, with the Cilantro and Pepper it can also be paired well with certain Latin based dishes for a bit of a fusion flare.
Vinaigrette (4/18/2016) - This is a nice Vinaigrette made with ‘real’ ingredients. The store bought version just can’t compare. Great on traditional salads or even a Caprese Salad.
