June is the start of fruit season here in Oklahoma. Finally we can start getting local fresh fruits, berries and vegetables. Some of the first berries that come into season here are strawberries. Is there anything better than a fresh sweet strawberry? We don’t think so.

A few weeks ago we discovered a new wine, a lemon wine. As promised we used it to come up with a new recipe. Tonight we came up with this, Lemon Pepper Chicken with Soleil Cream Sauce. – It was a hit with the whole family! I am so impressed with John’s cooking skills with this dish. He cooked and tasted till it was perfect. Hope you all enjoy it as much as we did.
We added a nice tossed salad and bread sticks.
Recently we took a trip to Stable Ridge Winery located on old route 66. We discovered a new wine, a lemon wine. They call it Soleil . As I sampled it I started thinking of how well this would work in a dish of some kind. This is what we came up with.

This delicious sauce is a true MEAT sauce with a rich wine based sauce. While it does have tomatoes it doesn’t use tomato sauce.

Last week we took a little winery trip to Stable Ridge Winery located on old route 66. There, as you may remember, we discovered a new wine, a lemon wine, called Soleil . So this week I am going to try and use our Lemon Spaghetti with Chicken recipe as a basis for a new recipe using this wine. We will be trying that on Monday. Since it is a holiday here I should have time to think about it. Then on Friday we are going to try a recipe for Swedish Baked Potatoes the description given on the site My Extended Weekend just sounded irresistible.
