So how did we do this week at meeting our goal of staying under $200 for 2 weeks dinners. Quite well! After making our menus, compiling our shopping list, and reviewing the weeks ads we decided to buy our produce from Sprouts and the other items from Crest Foods.
Sprouts usually has good prices on produce and in our opinion it is superior anyway. This week was especially good since many of the produce items they had on sale.
Crest doesn’t run ads but always seems to be competitive. It seems like they shop the ads and price match. We usually compare as we shop (at least in our heads) just in case.
The result was we spent only $40.11 on produce and $109.56 on everything else putting us under budget by $50.33!!!!!
